Resumen
El artículo analiza las problemáticas y demandas de los trabajadores en la Inglaterra de los años 80, un periodo marcado por intensas tensiones sociopolíticas. Explora las negociaciones entre empleados, empleadores y el gobierno, enfocándose en cómo el activismo influyó en las políticas laborales y las normas sociales. Utilizando ejemplos de la prensa de la época, se examinan las na- rrativas mediáticas sobre las luchas económicas y los movimientos por la justicia social. El estudio revela las tensiones entre los distintos actores (trabajadores, empleadores, autoridades y medios), destacando cómo se construyeron las percepciones públicas y cómo los intereses y sesgos ideo- lógicos influyeron en la visibilidad y legitimidad de diversas voces. El análisis proporciona una comprensión de las estrategias discursivas que moldearon la opinión pública sobre el trabajo y la justicia socioeconómica en la década de 1980 en Reino Unido.
